Project overview

We were appointed to carry out specialist screeding works as part of the redevelopment of a former Job Centre building in Gravesend, now converted into residential apartments. The project required robust, high-quality floor construction to support the building’s transformation into a functional living space.

This scheme marked our fourth project within a year for this repeat client, reflecting consistent delivery and a strong working relationship.

The brief

Scope of works

Installation of 600 m² of 75 mm fibre-reinforced sand and cement screed across the ground floor. Application of 500 m² average 100 mm SBR screed laid to falls at roof level to ensure effective drainage and long-term performance.

Delivery

The 600 m² ground floor was completed within three days, demonstrating efficient planning and coordinated site execution. Roof screed works were delivered during a planned return visit, aligned with programme sequencing.

Outcome

The project was delivered to specification and within agreed timelines, providing durable, accurately installed screeds ready for final finishes. The successful delivery reinforced an ongoing partnership with the client.
